The Canon MJ Group conducted third-party verification of its 2023 greenhouse gas (GHG) emission data (Scopes 1, 2 and 3)* in compliance with the ISO 14064-3 international standard, and received an assurance statement from certification authority LRQA Limited.

*Scope 1: Direct emissions (town gas, LPG, diesel oil, kerosene, non-energy-related GHG, etc.)
Scope 2: Intermediate emissions (electricity, steam, etc.)
Scope 3: Emissions from the supply chain (classified into Categories 1 to 15, including the purchased goods and services, transportation, and distribution, and use of sold products)
